This week's speaker is Larissa Reinboth, the founder of Possum Portraits.
Possum Portraits is a charity that strives to help alleviate the pain and loss felt by bereaved parents upon loosing their baby. Part of their mission is to ensure that every parent has access to a keepsake of their child to support and comfort them on their grief journey.

This week's speaker is Tim Schmidt, secretary of the Tasmanian Hemp Association and also president of the newly formed Australian Hemp Council, a seven member council representing each state and the NT on behalf of Industrial Hemp Industry growers and processors.
Tim has been farming in Tasmania for the past 20 years; since 2003 at Woodlands a 350ha farm near Deloraine (beef trading and dairy agistment and also growing potatoes and hemp).

This week's speaker is Matthew Bufardeci from Bicycles for Humanity Melbourne (B4HMelbourne).
Matthew has been a volunteer at B4H for the past three years. He spends a couple of days a week picking up bikes, and helping organise the packing and shipping of them to Africa.

We heard about the bees last October from Rotarians for Bees. This week we will hear about the birds from Professor Jean Jacques du Plessis.
Jean is Professor of Corporate Law at Deakin University Law School.
Jean grew up in Namibia, studied law in South Africa, and took up photography as a student. It has been his passionate hobby ever since.
Jean will share some of his many photos of birds with interesting information about each one.

The guest speaker this week will be Mike Flattley, who will be speaking about community science engagement and the translation of scientific practice from research work to "public good" outcomes.
Mike is the CEO of the Royal Society of Victoria, the state's oldest scientific organisation and learned society. Following a career in managing community engagement and strategic communications for the senior offices of the University of Melbourne, Mike joined the RSV in 2015 to help define its 21st century purpose and set new strategic directions. He is the state manager of the Inspiring Australia program, a partnership between federal and state governments to engage Australians everywhere with the scientific process and the excitement of discovery.

This guest speaker will be Kerry Anderson who will be speaking about rural entrepreneurships.
Kerry, a member of the Rotary Club of Castlemaine, is a renowned advocate for rural businesses and entrepreneurs. She was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2022 and named one of Australia’s Top 50 Regional Agents-of-Change in 2018. Kerry provides a valuable rural voice and helps to share positive stories of rural businesses across Australia. She is currently working on building entrepreneurial ecosystems in regional Australia.

This week's guest speaker is Dr Mitchell Lawrence, an ambassador from the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).
Mitchell's presentation will focus on prostate cancer awareness, and PCFA supportive services.
Mitchell is a Group Leader and Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology and Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University.

Following last week's meeting titled: "Membership Initiatives", part one of a two presentation, this week will see part two, again presented by the two Ians: our own Ian Donald (pictured), plus Ian Ash (RC Emerald and District), who is a member of the District’s Membership Committee.
This week's presentation is titled: "Focus on Increasing Membership" and will include an interactive component.
The meeting will start earlier than usual at 7:00am.
