Charity Movie Screening: On the Basis of Sex

As we approach International Women's Day on 8 March 2019, we are hosting a Charity Screen of the film 'On the Basis of Sex', a biopic about the US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg early days fighting for gender equality at law school, in her career and ground breaking case on gender discrimination that lead to a change to gender based laws in America.

Cost: $20pp and includes a glass a wine and donation towards Safe Steps Victoria

All profits will be dedicated to Safe Steps Victoria Family Violence Response Centre - Victoria’s statewide first response service for women, young people and children experiencing family violence.

We are joining Waverley Industries for their Christmas Party. We sponsor and present a Pride of Workmanship Award every year.
Waverley Industries is a not-for-profit organisation that commenced operations in November 1984 with the aim of providing employment opportunities for people with special needs, in particular intellectually
disabled adults. They currently employ 250+ disabled adults at Waverley Industries Notting Hill site and at the new packaging factory in Star Crescent Hallam.

Join us for a fun night at this hilarious play presented by the 1812 Theatre and raise funds for the community as well. 100% of ticket cost will go to help our community needs.
The world’s most unusual criminologist, Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau, fights for his life and for the future of all mankind in the most bizarre and dangerous caper of his brilliantly successful and utterly clumsy career. Paul Dreyfus, once his long-suffering boss, now turned into a raving lunatic, holds the world at bay with the ultimate weapon, the Doomsday Machine. Dreyfus is out to get Clouseau, the man whose undeserved success has driven him crazy, and he threatens to vaporize continents if the nations of the world don’t deliver Clouseau to him alive or, if at all possible, dead!
Blissfully unaware that the army of deadly assassins is gunning for him, or that the beautiful girl who seeks him out is a Russian agent, Clouseau incredibly stumbles and slips by every attack. However, the world is running out of time because the increasingly frustrated Dreyfus, doodling with the Doomsday Machine, is running out of patience.

Each year, past, present, and incoming district and senior leaders attend Rotary Zone Conferences to share information, build connections, and exchange ideas about Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. The Conference commences on the 14 September through to 16 September 2018., and the program includes:
- An update on The Rotary Foundation and its programs
- A report on our polio eradication efforts
- A five-
year forecast presented by a director or other Board representative - An open forum where participants can make recommendations to the Board
- Local and international speakers sharing information on relevant topics
- A chance to network, reconnect with friends, and find inspiration for continuing your service and leadership in your community
- Entertainment and social outings
During Council on Legislation years, Rotary institutes also include a session for Council representatives and alternates and a general session for discussing Council proposals.
The training portion of the Conference commences on 10 September through to 13 September 2018. The training includes:

- District Trainers
- Future Leaders
Included in this part of the week is a symposium for District Governors.
