2018 International Women's Day Business Breakfast

The Rotary Club of Monash invites you to the 2018 International Women's Business Breakfast; a morning of insightful presentations, networking opportunities, door prizes and a delectable breakfast. This year's international theme is:#pressforprogress.

 

Through your attendance you will help us raise funds and create awareness about Domestic Violence. 

 

Attendees will be provided with cereals, pastries, fruit, hot plated breakfast, fresh juices, tea, coffee, purple ribbon, notepad and a pen.

Speakers

Jerril Rechter. Jerril is the CEO of VicHealth, Advisor of the World Health Organisation and Chair of the International Network of Health Promotion Foundations. She holds various Advisory Council positions, served on numerous state national boards and committees. In 2015 she won the Victorian Telstra Businesswomen of the Year Award in the Victorian Government and Academia category and n 2016 was named in the Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence in the Public Policy Category. She was recently included in the top 50 Public Sector Women (Victoria) list which shines a spotlight on exceptional leaders, highlighting their work and creating role models for other women in the sector.

Erica Edmands. Erica has a background as a lawyer and senior HR practitioner, having worked as an Diversity for Freehills, headed the Human Resources Departments of Comalco Smelting and Minter Ellison and acted as a consultant with respect to work-life, diversity and mental health. Erica is currently the President of Kidsafe Victoria and a Board Member of Women's Housing Ltd.

Judy Line. Judy is the CEO of Women's Housing Ltd and has worked in the housing and homelessness sector since 1986 through working in women's refuges, youth services and as the Victorian project officer for the Victorian Public Tenant's Association. Judy is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master of Business Administration, Post Graduate degree in Management and a Diploma in Community Services (Community Development). In addition to being the current CEO of Women's Housing Ltd she is on the Board of the Community Housing Federation Victoria and a member of Power Housing. 
 

Charity

 

All profits will be dedicated to Women's Housing Ltd. The organisation focuses on human rights, particularly the basic rights of women (and their children) to housing, healthcare,education and employment by providing Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) services to women experiencing housing crisis, and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or needing assistance to establish a new tenancy. Women's Housing Ltd also provides basic toiletries, train tickets and food.
