Bowelscan

< Previous

Rotary Bowelscan is conducted by over 300 Rotary Clubs across Australia, working to reduce the number of lives lost to bowel cancer.

The Rotary Club of Monash is one of the clubs which, during the month of May each year, distributes Bowelscan testing kits to participating pharmacies for sale to customers. The kits enable people to test themselves for the signs of bowel cancer.

Completed kits are returned to the pharmacies for collection by Rotary. The kits are then forwarded to pathology testing laboratories. Positive results are immediately advised to customers.  The kits are sold for just $10.00 and the pathology testing is free.

The Bowelscan program is a crucial community service, particularly for Australia which has one of the highest incidence rates of colorectal cancer in the world.

$10.00 could save your life - waiting for symptoms to appear is waiting too long!
